Things that haven’t been working:

PROJECTS:
- Communications plan: How do they want to communicate with different audiences, UVM campus, prospective students, the media, researchers and how to get people to engage in the institute?
- Gund Tea is an event that happens every friday, need help broadcasting the event. One signature event on April 20th, the Gund Slam, researchers talk for 3 mins about their research and they want to find collaborators to work with them, so we want to [plan the promotions of that event, and we want as many people to attend this event
- Marketing intelligence project: surverys to figure out what students think is good/needs improvement with the Gund institute, make sure they are sending the right kind of content through the right channel
2. What is the main goal of these projects?
The goal of the Gund Slam event is to increase interdisciplinary research at UVM
3. Do you currently use social media to market the Gund institute?
Social media has been going well, especially Twitter: 1300 followers, a year ago there were no followers. The Gund Institute also uses Facebook. However, the followers are not active.
4. Can you tell us more about past projects and how successful they have been?
In the past Gund Slam events there were about 100 people there. however, those people were just internal and we didn't reach out to the external environment. This time we want to expand the amount of people who attend by a great number.
5. Who is our target audience?
Environmental and sustainability faculty members at UVM← professors who are looking for partners in research
6. What is your vision for your event?
-Facebook live broadcast
-Get the most people we can to the event but the right kind of people (aka the target audience, see above).
-It will take place at Echo, and each person will talk for 3 minutes about their research and hopefully someone will want to work with them...almost like speed dating for the right partner for research
7. What skills do you need from us in order for our work to be valuable?
-The ability to be creative and think of new ideas to promote the Gund Slam
-Being organized for when and how to come up with social media related posts
-Communicate effectively to the target audience, and be able to identify the target audience
8. What is your favorite part about working for your company?
-The people in the organization, how friendly they are, and the research that the members conduct is also very interesting.
